Bachelor in Biology by Universidad de Chile, Master in Ecology by Universidad Autonoma de Madrid and PhD in Global Change by Instituto Mediteraneo de Estudios Avanzados (IMEDEA, CSIC-UIB). My main research interests are focused in the study of impacts marine environmental stressors such as pH, temperature and oxygen on eco-physiological and mineralogical properties of marine calcifying organisms. I have an special interest in the characterization of adaptive evolutionary processes to natural environments or global change by studying biological, mineralogical and biochemical mechanisms.Currently, I am conducting a postdoctoral research (FONDECYT 3170156) at the University Adolfo Ibáñez where I am evaluating how the natural environmental variability associated to upwelling systems could affect the Chilean scallop and its industry.
