Outstanding participation of two of our post-graduate students in the “Symposium of Global Change and Feedback Processes”, and “II Iberoamerican School on Global Change”, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Leading scientists  from the Higher Council for Scientific Research CSIC, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile PUC, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro UFRJ and post-graduate students at Latin American level appointment in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from September 15th to the 21st, leading scientists from the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), Pontificia Universidad Católica del Norte de Chile (PUC), the Universidad Fedeal de Río de Janeiro (UFRJ), and graduate students from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, assisted and participated in the symposium, Global Change and Feedback Processes, part of the II Iberian School on Global Change. These programs, where our PhD students Avia Gonzalez and Carlos Lara participated, promote the interaction between researchers and students around feedback processes in marine and terrestrial ecosystems. The final product of the symposium was a scientific manuscript that addressed the main problem, climate change, from a reflective and integrative view of the Latin American community.
